Granulomatous (characteristic of chronic inflammatory lesion or pain) inflammation of the cervix, usually caused by tuberculosis, syphilis, or lymphogranuloma venereum; or an uncommon genital or anorectal (affecting the anus and/or rectum) infection that is caused by a specific type of Chlamydia trachomatis (a bacterium that causes a disease called trachoma [contagious bacterial eye disease] that results in blindness).
